Materials & Processes

RE-ASSIGN - REcycling plAStics deSIGN, a cross-border approach to the Circular Economy of plastics.

In line with the European Green Pact, the RE-ASSIGN (REcycling plAStics deSIGN) cross-border project aims to support companies in the France-Wallonia-Vlaanderen Interreg zone in their transition to a circular economy through the development of plastic products incorporating more than 20% recycled materials (Design from recycling) from post-consumer or pre-consumer flows.

The CERI MP of IMT Nord Europe leads the Applied Research module and focuses its actions on the elaboration and processing of recycled thermoplastic polymers and composites using plastics processing technologies such as injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, foaming or additive manufacturing, as well as their characterization. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing sampling techniques to provide a representative picture of deposits and analyze their variability over time.

Funders: INTERREG VI FWVL
