Dr. Adam Gouguet is currently an Assistant Professor working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and robotics.
His research focuses on autonomous navigation, decision-making, and multi-agent systems.

His doctoral research focused on Human-Aware Robot Navigation, combining motion planning, reinforcement learning, and socially-aware decision-making to enable robots to perceive, reason, and act effectively in dynamic, uncertain, and human-populated environments.
More broadly, he is interested in human-robot interaction, robot behavior evaluation, and the impact of autonomous systems on shared environments.

His current research also extends these questions to multi-robot coordination and control.
His primary interest in these topics is to develop robust, intelligent and adaptive autonomous systems that can operate and cooperate efficiently in complex real-world environments.
