I am an environmental chemist with a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Chemistry and Spectroscopy (University of Lille, France, 2005). I currently work as Associate Professor at IMT Nord Europe and scientific coordinator within the French National Reference Laboratory for Air Quality Monitoring (LCSQA).

I have more than 20 years of experience in industrial and research projects related to air pollution monitoring, atmospheric measurements, and environmental metrology. For over 10 years, I have been involved in national reference activities on regulated gaseous and particulate pollutants, quality assurance programmes, and the development of monitoring strategies for emerging pollutants, particularly atmospheric ammonia (NH₃).

My expertise covers reference and indicative measurement methods, passive sampling, automatic gas analysers, low- and medium-cost sensors, mobile monitoring platforms, and data quality assessment. I coordinate the French working groups on low-cost air quality sensors and on the national ammonia monitoring strategy, and I contribute to European standardisation activities within CEN/TC 264 in the fields of passive sampling and automatic gas measurements.

In recent years, I have also been involved in interdisciplinary projects investigating emissions from the degradation of stranded algae, including hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and volatile organic compounds, and their contribution to air quality and potential impacts on human health. These activities combine field measurements, laboratory investigations, sensor evaluation, and exposure assessment, with the objective of improving scientific knowledge and supporting public authorities in the management of pollution events.

My current work aims to strengthen the links between atmospheric science, environmental metrology, innovative monitoring technologies, and public health issues in support of European air quality policies and environmental resilience strategies.
