ECOTRAIN project – Executive Committee, Steering Committee and demonstrations at IMT Nord Europe

A two-day event on the ECOTRAIN project

On March 5 and 6, 2024, IMT Nord Europe hosted the Executive Committee and Steering Committee of the ECOTRAIN project and hosted demonstrations at its Villeneuve d’Ascq Campus.

Participants received assistance from teams from the Digital Systems Research Center and were able to tour the laboratories and attend presentations:

A tour of STRATIFORM, a company located in Bersée, was organized on March 6.

The ECOTRAIN project

The ECOTRAIN project, supported by ADEME and France Relance 2030, aims to rejuvenate and reinvigorate small rail lines that are now abandoned or threatened.

The goal is to develop a light and autonomous shuttle train for small rural lines.

Two Institut Mines-Télécom schools contribute to the project

IMT Mines Albi provides expertise on the development of organizational frameworks and solutions to facilitate the management of goods and passenger flows under both rated and disturbed operating conditions.

IMT Nord Europe is contributing to the project by assisting with the development of short-distance radio information transmission solutions in a secure context and the development of autonomous technological solutions for sensor data fusion to enable predictive analysis of the trajectories of moving objects.
