A look back at the IMT Nord Europe Research and Innovation Seminar

A look back at the IMT Nord Europe Research and Innovation Seminar

IMT Nord Europe’s Research and Innovation Department organised a Research and Innovation Seminar.

IMT Nord Europe organised the in-house seminar for all its research staff on Thursday 11 April and Friday 12 April 2024.

The Friday afternoon session was open to all research staff from Institut Mines-Télécom schools via Zoom.

The event attracted a large number of participants and accomplished the goal of bringing together all of the School’s research and innovation staff in one place.

An eventful first day

The first day of the seminar was an in-house event, involving IMT Nord Europe research staff, with the following programme:

  • Introduction – Strategic Plan – R&I.
  • HCERES (High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education) prospects and trajectory for the CERI centres
  • Research project presentations
  • Feedback on projects supported by the Research and Innovation Department (DRI)
  • Feedback from associate professors
  • Careers in higher education
  • Poster sessions and presentations

A second collaborative day

The second day of the Research and Innovation seminar began with morning sessions focusing on support for companies. The programme included:

  • Innovation Division Strategy
  • Business support and Innovation Centre
  • Research and technology transfer
  • Industrial property and patents
  • Coordination of collaborative projects and European projects

Opening of the seminar to all IMT Schools

The Friday afternoon session was open to all Institut Mines-Télécom Schools, whose members were able to follow the events live:

  • Scientific integrity and open science
  • Data production, management and dissemination
  • Source codes and software
  • Round-table session with guest speakers
  • Discussions with participants.

“This was a wonderful event. It allowed us to break down barriers between the centres and gain an overview of the School’s activities. We have so few opportunities to discover our colleagues’ work. This is an event worth repeating in the future on an annual basis, marking the life of our institution.”
