As part of its activities for LCSQA, the Energy & Environment Research Center is currently organizing an inter-laboratory comparison exercise on the measurement of ammonia (NH3).
This exercise verifies the comparability of measurements under specific conditions (concentrations, humidity, interfering substances) and contributes to the overall process of improving the quality of measurements that should be made mandatory by the revision of the European directives for air quality monitoring.
In addition to IMT Nord Europe, this exercise brings together seven participants from accredited air quality monitoring organizations (AASQA), university research laboratories and private companies. The tests are carried out on the specific high-throughput line and the test program includes tests in synthetic matrix at different concentration levels as well as in ambient air matrix enriched by doping.
