Monitor for Aerosols and Gases in ambient Air (MARGA) Sample collection and analysis system for water-soluble gaseous and particulate species using ion chromatography
MARGA is an automated system for the online analysis of water-soluble gaseous and particulate species.
It is used to measure ambient air concentrations of gaseous species – ammonia, hydrochloric acid, nitrous acid, nitric acid and sulphur dioxide – and concentrations of particulate species – ammonium, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, nitrite, nitrate, sulphate and oxalate – in different environments in the field (e.g. urban, rural, forestry) at an hourly frequency.
